Inside The Classroom

Students in Mrs. Katie McIlvanie’s middle school class recently did a “quickwrite” the week of Valentine’s Day with the prompt: “Love is...”

Love is something that can describe something or someone. It can mean a lot of different things, like I love my dog, or I love what you got for me. It can mean something that you love or someone you love, or “I love this song. This is one of the best songs ever.” It’s like something that you like very much, like a memory. You remember that memory to this day, and you think back, and you’re like “Hey, I love that memory, and I won’t ever forget to remember that favorite memory at all.” You can still remember that memory 10 years later, and you will still have more memorable memories that you love and won’t forget.

Love is

Love is a bond.

Love is no one is better than them.

Love is respect.

Love is honey and life is the bee.

Love is dedication.

Love is waking up next to them.

Love is feelable.

Love is an instant feeling.

Love is Valuable.

Love is louder than hate.

Love is a feeling.

Love is non judging.

Love is healable.

Love is unconditional.

Love is all you need.

This is love

What is love? Love is when you know you can tell your deepest, darkest secrets. Love is when you know they won’t leave and forget you. Love is when you know they won’t hurt you. Love can make you do crazy things. But most importantly, love is love.
