Illinois residents injured in motorcycle accident

TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT - Two Illinois residents were injured after they were ejected from a motorcycle Saturday in the Town of Mount Pleasant

According to a Green County Sheriff's Office news release, Donald J. Wilson, 28, and his passenger Ashley A. Wilson, 27, both from Stillman Valley, were ejected from the motorcycle that Donald Wilson was driving on County F at Purintun Road. He was northbound on County F when he failed to negotiate a curve.

Donald Wilson was transported by Albany EMS for treatment of his injuries. Ashley Wilson had to be transported by MedFlight to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison for injuries she sustained in the crash. Both individuals were not wearing helmets, but they were wearing eye protection at the time of the crash.

The motorcycle was moderately damaged and was removed by the owner. Donald Wilson was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control.

Deputies, Monticello Fire Department and Monroe EMS also responded to the scene of the crash.
