MONROE - There will be an ice cream social from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, 1025 15th Ave., Monroe. Proceeds will help support the roof maintenance for the Family Promise Day Center/office.

The menu includes a barbecue or ham sandwich, potato salad, raw vegetables and homemade pie with ice cream.

The church is handicap accessible.
