MONROE - Monroe's water utility will be performing routine maintenance, including hydrant flushing, valve turning and sewer jetting and televising.
The next area scheduled for sewer cleaning and televising is from Monday through Sept. 26 from 26th Street going south and 2nd Street to Wisconsin 69.
Customers may see some discoloration in their water. The city says the water is safe to drink and that the discoloration is caused by encrusted minerals being flushed from the walls of the mains. To avoid discolored water, turn on the cold tap and let the water run until it becomes clear.
More information is available by calling the Monroe utilities office at 608-329-2483 between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
