The Monroe Times is pleased to present the serial story, "Hundred Dollar Cat," provided by author Frances Milburn, The Watertown Daily Times (Watertown, Wis.) and its Newspapers in Education coordinator Dawn McBride and shared with members of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association.
The story, written for third- through eighth-graders, explores what happens when Ben is accidentally given the wrong change by a cashier and struggles to decide what to do with the money.
