Halloween Fun

In Monroe on Tuesday, there is a Halloween parade at

4:30 p.m. and Trunk-or-Treat on the Square after the parade until 8:30 p.m., both sponsored by Main Street Monroe. Halloween Parade participants should assemble outside of

the Monroe Middle School at 4:15 p.m. The inside south

and west traffic lanes around the Square will be closed during Trunk-or-Treat. There is no rain location. City trick-or-treating will be from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m.



Other Halloween events in area communities are:

ALBANY: Trick-or-treat from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

ARGYLE: Trick-or-treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. The fire department will hand out glow sticks before, and firefighters will also be at main intersections to help children cross the streets.

BLANCHARDVILLE: Trick-or-treat from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

BRODHEAD: Trick-or-treat from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

DARLINGTON: Trick-or-treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

GRATIOT: Trick-or-treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

MCCONNELL, Ill.: Trunk-or-treat with games, costume contest, hayrides (scary and regular), bonfire, pumpkin decorating and free food from

4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Grace Free Methodist Church.

MONTICELLO: Trick-or-treat from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Haunticello Fest at Monticello High School is also on Saturday with concession stand, costume judging, hayride and bonfire.

NEW GLARUS: Trick-or-treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

SOUTH WAYNE: Trick-or-treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

WIOTA: Trick-or-treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Halloween party at 7 p.m. at the firehouse with costume contest, fish pond and lunch.
