MONTICELLO - The Greenwoods State Bank Monticello Operations Center is undergo extensive expansion of its facility at 238 North Main St.

The Operations Center will be closed to the public for about 90 days while construction is being completed, the bank said in a news release this week. In the meantime, full banking services for clients will continue to be available at the Monticello banking and drive-up facility, 401 West Coates Ave. Access to safe deposit boxes can be arranged by appointment during construction.

The operations center has created more than five new staff positions in recent months and additional positions are planned upon completion of the renovation project. Construction designs call for reducing current lobby space to accommodate new offices. When the project is complete, teller service at the center will continue to be available from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday.

Greenwoods State Bank is based in Lake Mills, with branches located in Monticello and Evansville. Monticello is the home of its Operations Center.
