In 2010 the Green County Historical Society printed a collection of photographs taken by Will E. Trukenbrod, most of which were taken at the schools or in the downtown area. This collection of 166 photographs were taken between 1910 and 1920 and are included in "A Glimpse Back In Time." Today's photograph, from the collection and found after the book was printed, shows a group of people walking south on the west side of the Square past Treat's Shoe Store and Bolender's Dry Goods. Although this book was printed without captions, a list of locations where the photos were taken can be printed from the GCHS website. Books can be purchased for $15 at the museum on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. through October or at Sequels Fine Interior Consignments or Schultz Pharmacy, both on the east side of the Square. Please contact Matt Figi at 325-6503 or mfigi48@tds.net if you have any questions.
