Green County Historical Society: Oscar F. Pinney Post No. 102, circa the 1880s

Members of the Oscar F. Pinney Post No. 102 of the Grand Army of the Republic are shown in front of their headquarters in the Syndicate Block, where they moved on October 20, 1888. The Pinney Post was organized on August 20, 1883 and disbanded when the last member, James M. Divan, died on April 9, 1936. Green County will be commemorating the sesquicentennial of the end of the Civil War starting with a concert by Wisconsin's First Brigade Band at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Monroe Arts Center.
