The Pinney Post was organized on August 20, 1883 and disbanded when the last member, James M. Divan, died on April 9, 1936. Green County will be commemorating the sesquicentennial of the end of the Civil War starting with a concert by Wisconsin's First Brigade Band at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Monroe Arts Center.
