The Monroe Moose Lodge purchased this building on the north side of the Square for $22,000 in November 1926. They then moved into the upstairs from their previous headquarters in the Fitzgibbons building on 11th Street on January 1, 1927. They now have a building and grounds at 639 3rd Ave. where they will be hosting a benefit breakfast Sunday morning to help the Green County Historical Society raise money to refurbish the windows on the front of the museum.
