The Monroe Moose Lodge purchased this building on the north side of the Square for $22,000 in November 1926. They then moved into the upstairs from their previous headquarters in the Fitzgibbons building on 11th Street on January 1, 1927. They now have a building and grounds at 639 3rd Ave. where they will be hosting a benefit breakfast Sunday morning to help the Green County Historical Society raise money to refurbish the windows on the front of the museum. The support of the community in this project is greatly appreciated. Questions may be directed to Matt Figi at 325-6503 or mfigi48@tds.net.
