This photograph, from the collection of Phyllis and the late Nathan Frautschy, was taken on Sept. 24, 1916. The Frautschy family was having a reunion and traveling the coutryside of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois to tour places where the family had lived. Green County Historical Society is searching for local photographs of
automobiles that were taken after the first auto was seen in Monroe on July 2, 1901 and 1920. The society is
planning to publish a book, which will contain photos and information about the gas stations of Monroe and
