This unidentified photograph, taken by Will E. Trukenbrod in the early 1900s, looks up one of the primitive streets in Monroe. It is representative of what Monroe looked like during that era, with the condition of the street, the barns/stables in the background, the boardwalk reaching out to the street and the clothes blowing in the breeze while hanging on the line. It is believed that the home on the left is the one at 2019 10th St. Please let Matt Figi know at 325-6503 or mfigi48@tds.net if you disagree.
