MONROE - The Green County Land Use and Zoning Committee on Wednesday will discuss increasing fees on applications for zoning and septic permits.
"Every two or three years we take a look at the fees and make adjustments for increases in administrative costs," Green County Zoning Administrator Adam Wiegel said.
The last fee increase took place three years ago, he said, and estimated the fees will increase between $5 and $10.
Fees for zoning permits vary according to a building's square footage. Zoning permits are required for everything from houses to sheds to decks. Septic permits also vary in cost.
Permits are needed for all new buildings and additions to existing buildings and all new homes are required to have a septic permit.
The Zoning and Land Use Committee meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Yodel Hall in the Government Services Building at the Pleasant View Complex, N3150 Wisconsin 81.
