MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the Green County Board of Supervisors:

• Heard a progress report on Pleasant View Nursing Home from Terry Hensel, administrator, since a referendum passed in October.

• Voted 26 to 2 to eliminate the full-time project manager/office administrator position in the county Emergency Management unit and create a part-time, 20-hours-per-week program assistant position. The person will be paid between $12.84 and $16.30 per hour and receive all county fringe benefits, pro-rated.

• Voted unanimously to accept changes to the animal annoyance act. The changes set $100 fines for first violations and $200 fines for second and subsequent violations.

• Approved appointments to the Land Information Council: County Board of Supervisors representatives Art Carter, Mary Hart, Sue Disch, Richard Thoman and Randall Iverson, and Cynthia Meudt, Sherri Hawkins, Richard Wyttenbach and Todd Hasse.

The next Green County board meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 15, because of the partisan primary election Tuesday, Sept. 14.
