On Tuesday, March 10, the Green County Board of Supervisors:
• Approved a 2 percent pay increase for department heads, non-represented union employees and elected officials effective July 12.
• Approved a contract for about $560,000 with Auxiant insurance company for the county's insurance beginning April 1.
• Increased the county employee monthly insurance rates from $1,552 to $1,738 for a family policy and from $630 to $706 for a single policy for full-time and retired employees. The county pays 90 percent of the monthly premium.
• Modified the Land Conservation Department name to include the word "water" since the department routinely deals with water quality issues as well as land conservation issues.
