On Tuesday, July 8, the Green County Board of Supervisors:
Approved changes to salaries and expenses for county employees. The changes in expense reimbursements require the county department committee to approve the expenses. Minor wording changes were made to the salaries ordinance to bring it up to date.
Removed a requirement that requires the county's corporation counsel to live within the county. The corporation counsel position is the only job that required residence in the county. The change passed 24-3, with board members Jerry Guth, Randy Iverson and Cathy Cryor-Burgweger voting against the change. Corporation Counsel Bill Morgan currently lives in Monroe, but is looking to move out of the county.
