On Tuesday, July 13, the Green County Board of Supervisors:
Dissolved the county's Land Information Committee and replaced it with the Land Information Council. The change was needed because of a state statute that requires counties that collect fees through the register of deeds office for land records modernization to have a Land Information Council.
Heard a report about the Green County Leaders program from Cara Carper, who heads the program. Carper said 21 people graduated from the program this year. There have been 160 graduates of the program since it began in 2002.
