On Tuesday, Jan. 8, the Green County Board of Supervisors:
Approved Green County Human Services contracts for the upcoming year. The board approves the contracts every year and they are paid with money from the 2008 Human Services budget.
Authorized Green County Human Services to apply for a state grant totaling $87,139 to assist the department in its transportation needs for the year. The county agrees to pay $17,428 to match the state grant.
Voted 22-4 to reclassify the Deputy Clerk of Courts to increase the hourly rate for the position from $15.80 to $17.03. Voting against the measure were Dennis Everson, Jerry Guth, Richard Thoman and Steve Stettler.
