BARNEVELD - To connect landowners to helpful information on caring for land, a Grassland Management Workshop will be offered from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Barneveld School, 304 S. Jones St., Barneveld. This part of Wisconsin has some incredible prairies, oaks and grasslands that are important for wildlife, beauty, and forage, and experts are lined up to cover a wide variety of topics, including prairie restoration, invasive species, prescribed burning and grazing. The cost for the workshop is $15 per person, which includes refreshments, a light lunch and a packet of resources.
