Gov. Walker awards $7 million in broadband grants

HIGH SPEED INTERNET remains an elusive dream for many rural residents as progress or even planned progress on improving access for many seems slow.
MADISON — Gov. Scott Walker and the Public Service Commission announced Thursday $7 million in new Broadband Expansion Grant Awards will be disbursed via 37 new grants to extend high-speed internet access to as many as 1,100 business locations and 14,000 residential locations.
