MONROE - Green County Veterans Memorial Park Inc. announced that it has received a grant from the Robert B. Olson Endowment for Monroe High School Fund and from the Monroe Fund, both components of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin Inc. Grants from both funds support the arts, education, environment, health and human services and historic preservation.
Both grants are to support the mounting of the Huey helicopter at the Green County Veterans Memorial Park. The Huey has been painted and restored and is stored at a facility until the mounting is completed with a goal of Nov. 11, Veterans Day.
