MONROE - The Fowler Memorial Free Dental Clinic announced that it received a $2,000 grant from the Monroe Fund.
The clinic's mission is to provide free dental care to the uninsured and under insured children of Green County. Children ages 3-12 are seen by volunteer dental professionals. Patients are referred to the clinic by school nurses, public health nurses, physicians, emergency room staff and social services.
The Monroe Fund was established in 1996 by current and former residents of Monroe. The Fund provides a way for donors to give back to the community.
