Four arrested for manufacturing meth

BENTON TOWNSHIP - Four people were arrested for possessing items used to manufacture methamphetamine as a result of a search warrant executed Nov. 17 at a residence in rural Benton.

According to a Lafayette County Sheriff's Department news release, Haleigh S. Stocks, 23, Highland; Brandon A. Loken, 25, Platteville; and Garrett S. Lipshutz, 34, Lancaster, were all arrested on Nov. 17 and tentatively charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste and possession of methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia. Stocks was wanted on a Grant County warrant and Loken was wanted on a Department of Corrections probation hold as well.

A fourth suspect, Christopher K. Bennett, 38, rural Benton, was arrested and jailed on Nov. 12 for felony battery but is tentatively charged with the same counts as listed above.

Members of the Monroe Police Department/Lafayette County Sheriff's Office Joint Emergency Response Team executed the search warrant.

Lafayette County deputies continue to investigate the alleged criminal activities occurring at the residence.
