MONROE - The Monroe Public Library will hold its fourth annual Food Fines week from Monday, Nov. 12 through Saturday, Nov. 17 during regular library hours.
For every non-expired, non-perishable human or pet food item donated during the week, patrons will receive a $1 reduction in overdue library fines. There is no limit on the amount of fines that can be cleared, but fines for lost or damaged items are not eligible. The library will also accept both food and monetary donations from patrons who do not have fines.
All donated items will be given to either the Green County Inter-Church Food Pantry or the Green County Humane Society.
More information is available by contacting the Monroe Public Library at (608) 328-7010.
