MONROE - Worries about flooding following weekend rains and snow melt appear to have receded.
The National Weather Service has canceled two flood warnings that had been issued Sunday for Green County. The warnings for the Pecatonica River at Martintown and for the Sugar River at Brodhead no longer are in place. With colder temperatures coming this week and no major precipitation forecast, the NWS expects both rivers to continue receding.
