BRODHEAD - The National Weather Service on Thursday night issued a flood warning for the Sugar River at Brodhead. The warning continues until Saturday morning.
At 1 a.m. Friday, the river was at 5.34 feet. Flood stage is 5 feet. The river was expected to crest near 6 feet later Friday morning.
At 5.0 feet, some roads are flooded about six miles downstream in Avon township in Rock County. Some flooding also develops in Sugar River Park, including the boat ramp.
