MONROE - The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood warning for the Sugar River near Brodhead until later today.
At 3:45 a.m. today the river was at 5 feet, which is also the flood stage. Minor flooding was expected on roads near the river and also at the Sugar River Park west of Brodhead.
The NWS also said flooding is possible near Martintown.
Warming temperatures and melting snow could cause the Pecatonica River at Martintown to rise above its flood stage of 13.5 feet over the next few days.
Two to 4 inches of snow is predicted for Friday and into Saturday. There is a 60 percent chance of snow Friday evening into Saturday.
Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid- to high-30s for the rest of the week.
