BRODHEAD - The Madison Ballet's production of "The Nutcracker" will include five dancers from the Brodhead Health and Fitness (BHF) Dance Academy.

The Overture Stage in Madison will host professional dancers and young balletomanes alike under the careful direction of W. Earle Smith of the Madison Ballet. For the past three years, BHF students have participated in the production, but this year more dancers are involved than any previous year.

BHF Dance Academy dancers include:

• Emily Beauchel, Juda, daughter of Brenda and Sam Beauchel. She is performing at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, and Sunday, Dec. 20.

Owner and director of the BHF Dance Academy, DeAnne Boegli, notes, "This is an amazing opportunity for our dancers. Rachel and Emily have performed in previous years, but this is the debut for Abby Jo, Nickole and Carly. I'm very proud of each of them for working so hard to achieve their goals. When they undertake this adventure the dancers learn how to audition and handle the stress of that process, and most importantly they get to perform on a world-class stage with exceptional instruction from the Madison Ballet."
