MONROE - Green County UW-Extension will be a host site for a Farm Land Rental webinar from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 in the multipurpose room of the Justice Center.
Speakers include Extension specialists on a variety of topics dealing with renting farmland assets.
Arlin Brannstrom, UW-Extension management specialist, will discuss the changing land prices around the state and what might be driving the increases in land rent.
"Corn & Bean Economics" will review the enterprise budgets for 2012 with Jim Leverich from the UW-Extension.
Bruce Jones, UW-Extension farm management specialist, will share some tools developed to help landlords and renters decide on the appropriate lease contract to fit their situation.
"Lease Contracts and Legal Concerns" will be the topic for Phil Harris, UW-Extension farm law specialist.
The program will conclude with a discussion on local land rental rates led by Mark Mayer, Green County UW-Extension agriculture agent.
