Farm Bill meetings begin Nov. 3

MONROE - The Green County Farm Service Agency is hosting Farm Bill meetings.

Meetings will be held at:

• 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Nov. 3 in the multi-purpose room (lower level) at the Green County Justice Center.

• 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 4 in the multi-purpose room (lower level) at the Green County Justice Center.

• 1 p.m. Nov. 5 in the multi- purpose room at Green County Justice Center and at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at Albany Lion's Club Hall.

The free meeting is open to the public. Landowners as well as farm producers are encouraged to attend.

Those who attend the meeting will learn about Farm Service Agency Farm Bill programs including the one-time opportunity to update Crop Bases and Yields, and the Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs.

Learning more about ARC and PLC can be helpful for landowners who need to make a one-time decision about base and yield updates as well as ARC or PLC election and enrollment decisions to be made by farm producers.
