CINCINNATI, Ohio - Joel Epse of Hawks Hill Elk Ranch, Monticello, received various awards during the sixth annual Venison Product Competition, sponsored by the Cervid Livestock Foundation, at the North American Deer Farmer's Association conference held in March.
Competition categories included snack sticks, jerky, deli meat and sausage.
Espe received first place for the Snack Stick category, the Deli Meat category, the Sausage category and the Jerky category. He received the Best of Show award for his BBQ Snack Sticks.
