DARLINGTON - An alleged drunk driver and a Shullsburg police officer were treated for hypothermia after their vehicles became stuck in the snow during a chase Sunday, Jan. 19 in Monticello Township.
Ian A. Mullikin, 33, Shullsburg, was arrested at 2:22 a.m. for operating while intoxicated and faces further charges from the Shullsburg Police Department after several deputies from Lafayette County Sheriff's Department assisted Shullsburg police in an attempt to locate Mullikin, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
Mullikin and the Shullsburg officer became stuck in the snow after traveling into a field off County A and were later transported by Shullsburg EMS to Lafayette Memorial Hospital.
Darlington Police and a DNR warden also assisted in finding Mullikin.
