MONROE - A New Glarus woman filed a lawsuit against Green County and its insurance carrier in Green County Circuit Court on Thursday in connection to an accident between her vehicle and a Green County Highway truck.

Renee Williams alleges in her complaint, filed on her behalf by attorney Dan Gartzke, that she was northbound on County N on Jan. 20, 2006, and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with County H. Dustin Munz was driving a highway truck in the same direction as Williams' vehicle.

Williams said that while stopped at the intersection, the highway truck went around the left side and hit her vehicle.

In her lawsuit, Williams claims Munz:

• Failed to maintain a proper lookout.

• Failed to maintain proper speed.

• Failed to maintain proper control.

• Failed to follow proper traffic controls.

Williams sustained bodily injuries, pain, physical and emotion suffering and a loss of wages as a result of the accident, the suit alleges. The suit contends Williams will continue to suffer injuries and damages as a result of the Munz's negligence.

No amount of damages was mentioned in the suit.

"Williams is seeking damages in an amount proved at trial," the suit said.

Green County has 45 days to respond to the complaint.
