BLACK RIVER FALLS - A Warrens man accused in a fatal collision that killed a woman on an all-terrain vehicle and injured a toddler has been charged in Jackson County.

A criminal complaint says 23-year-old Phillip Holloway told investigators he drank four or five beers before driving his vehicle Saturday afternoon east of Black River Falls.

Holloway says he was going about 45 mph when he collided with an ATV that was in the middle of the road.

The ATV driver, 60-year-old Karen Gibson of Brodhead, was killed. The 3-year-old girl on the back suffered minor injuries.

Holloway is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and two misdemeanors.

Jackson County is between LaCrosse and Marshfield.
