MADISON — On Tuesday, Oct. 15 the State Department of Public Instruction released its certified general aid amounts for Wisconsin school districts for the 2019-20 school year.
There will be an increase in aid for 247 districts across the state and a decrease for 169 districts, while aid for five districts will remain the same.
The overall total is more than $85 million more in state aid than 2018-19.
Amounts are calculated based on aid received during the previous school year as well as student count.
Here’s what school districts in the area will receive in general state aid for the 2019-20 school year:
Albany: $2,705,605, 16.85% increase
Argyle: $1,998,601, 2.08% increase
Belleville: $5,328,901, 0.24% decrease
Belmont: $2,394,538, 5.56% increase
Benton: $1,933,278,
6.46% increase
Black Hawk: $2,733,448, 9.63% increase
Brodhead: $7,002,939, 1.58% increase
Darlington: $6,396,447, 9.33% increase
Evansville: $13,172,025, 2.21% decrease
Juda: $1,697,715, 0.65% increase
Monroe: $16,555,437, 1.14% increase
Monticello: $2,020,755, 0.56% increase
New Glarus: $5,904,236, 3.91% increase
Pecatonica: $2,597,460, 11.74% decrease
Shullsburg: $2,635,427, 1.68% decrease
