Don Knotts' daughter shares memories

MONROE - Karen Knotts, daughter of comic star Don Knotts, will be appearing in her one-woman, multimedia show "Tied Up In Knotts: A Daughter's Tribute to a Funny and Terrific Dad" Saturday evening at the Monroe Arts Center.

The show, which was recently sold out, is dedicated to the memory of her father. Don Knotts died in 2006.

She mixes humor with touching insight into her Hollywood life. Knotts includes film clips, family lore, behind-the-scene stories and a host of characters portrayed by Knotts, including Barney Fife of "The Andy Griffith Show." Don Knotts won five consecutive Emmy awards for his portrayal of the high-strung deputy.
