Dinners for veterans set for Nov. 7

ALBANY - The annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner is planned for Nov. 7 at the Albany Lion's Club Building, 402 N Cincinnati St., on the northeast side of Albany.

There are two dinners available for active duty soldiers, veterans, their spouses and widows and widowers. The first dinner is at 11 a.m., the second is at 12:30 p.m. The two dinners will accommodate everyone.

Reservations are required.

The dinner will consist of roast pork, baked beans, cheesy potatoes, coffee and milk.

To make a reservation, contact the Green County Veterans office at 328-9415. People also can e-mail their reservations to Chris Beer at cbeer@greencountywi.org.

Reservations are due by Oct. 29.

The dinner is sponsored by the Green County Veterans Service office, the Lafayette County Veterans Service office, the Albany Lions Club and Walmart of Monroe.
