MONROE - Due to a heightened interest in the 100th anniversary, collectors of Green County Cheese Days memorabilia may want to make their purchases prior to the festival this year. Brisk sales have reduced inventory of the commemorative steins to less than 75 remaining, and both the collector tractor and truck could sell out before the festival begins.
The Cheese Days Store, located in the basement of the Courthouse in downtown Monroe, is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. now through the festival, which begins Sept. 19. The store carries apparel for the entire family, pennants, glassware, caps and beanies, and a variety of other items to mark the 100th anniversary of Cheese Days.
An assortment of the merchandise can be viewed on www.cheesedays.com. Credit card orders for shipping are also accepted - call 608.325.7771 to place an order.
