DARLINGTON - The Darlington Police Department is seeking two suspects after arresting a Shullsburg man involved in an aborted theft at a Darlington business Tuesday morning.
According to a Darlington Police news release, three masked men stole a utility terrain vehicle, valued at about $7,000, from Mike's Engine Works in Darlington at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
However, the men abandoned the vehicle when they encountered a Darlington Police officer in the area. The three men fled on foot, leaving behind the stolen UTV, their truck and their trailer.
During the ongoing investigation, one of the men, identified as Chad Knauer, 32, Shullsburg, was arrested. The remaining suspects are still being sought.
