Darlington Police add Ranger to fleet
Darlington PD Ranger
The Darlington Police Department will use their new 2019 Polaris Ranger for community events, parades, response to emergencies on the trail, and other tasks where a small vehicle can be utilized.

DARLINGTON — The Darlington Police Department recently announced the addition of a 2019 Polaris Ranger to its fleet of vehicles.

The UTV was a gift from Polaris, one of three UTVs donated to the community’s first responders as a result of involvement in the Polaris Country USA competition. Chief Jason King facilitated Darlington’s involvement in the competition as well as receipt of the three Rangers. The fire department and Darlington EMS also received one.

Alliant Energy donated $1,000 to make the Ranger emergency-response capable. Tammy King of “King’s Kreations” donated the graphics.

The Ranger will be used for community events, parades, response to emergencies on the trail, and just about anything else for which the department finds the smaller vehicle suitable.
