FREEPORT — Aquin High School is hosting a presentation sponsored by the Stateline Area Crime Stoppers and VOICES of Stephenson County at 6 p.m. Oct. 2 at the high school, 1419 S. Galena Ave. The general public is invited to this presentation designed for parents on how to monitor what their children are doing on their computers and mobile devices. Topics include how to protect your children from cyberbullying, understanding what’s on your child’s phone, dangers on online gaming, sexting and sharing video online.
Parents will learn how to control and monitor what’s on your home computers and child’s cell phone.
Richard Wistocki, a 27-year veteran of the Naperville Police Department will be the featured speaker. He is a regular guest on NBC and FOX News educating the public on cyber-crime, and he is nationally known for his efforts in protecting children.
