TOWN OF CLARNO - A two-vehicle crash injured both drivers and closed down both lanes of Wisconsin 69 just south of Monroe for about an hour midday Monday, according to the Green County Sheriff's Office.

Carol J. Klock, 91, Baileyville, Illinois, crossed the centerline at about noon and collided with a northbound SUV in the oncoming lane driven by Larry G. Dyson, 71, Orangeville. The accident happened just north of County B in the N1000 block of Wis. 69.

Klock and Dyson were taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Both were traveling alone and wearing seatbelts.

A dog in Klock's car was uninjured and taken to the Green County Humane Society for housing until he could be picked up.

The collision severely damaged Klock's silver 1998 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight sedan and Dyson's silver 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, including multiple airbag deployments in each vehicle. They were towed away.

Multiple witnesses reported seeing Klock veer across the centerline several times prior to the crash, and she was cited for operating left of center and failing to maintain control.

The crash closed down the north- and southbound lanes of Wis. 69 from 12:05 to 1:14 p.m. The Wisconsin State Patrol, Monroe Fire Department and Green County EMS assisted Green County deputies at the scene.
