TOWN OF DECATUR - A four-vehicle crash Wednesday morning near Brodhead injured all four drivers and shut down Wisconsin 11/81 for one hour and 21 minutes, according to the Green County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened on Wis. 11/81 just east of County G.

Heather L. Heller, 29, Evansville, was turning off the highway into a driveway shortly after 7 a.m. when a vehicle driven by Steven M. Stageman, 41, Janesville, rear-ended her vehicle. The impact pushed Heller's vehicle into the opposite lane, where it was struck by Timothy J. Bender, 54, Juda.

A fourth vehicle driven by Dawn M. Hill, 46, Monroe, swerved to avoid the other vehicles but collided with Stageman's vehicle.

Heller and Stageman were taken by ambulance to Monroe Clinic for treatment of injuries they sustained in the crash. Bender and Hill reported injuries but declined treatment at the scene.

All four vehicles sustained disabling damage, had airbag deployment and had to be towed from the scene.

Stageman was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Brodhead police, Green County EMS, the Brodhead Fire Department and the Green County Highway Department assisted Green County deputies at the scene.
