MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday in the W8000 block of Wisconsin 81 near Klondike Road in Jordan township.

Ryan S. Rebout, 28, Argyle, was pinned inside his vehicle when deputies arrived at the scene. A resident at a nearby home heard Rebout calling for help and contacted the Green County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies report Rebout was extricated from the vehicle and taken by Med-Flight to Monroe Clinic. He later was transported to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.

A preliminary investigation revealed Rebout was traveling west on Wis. 81 when his vehicle left the road and hit a tree and fence post. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Rebout was arrested for fourth-offense drunken driving, second-offense driving after revocation and failure to maintain control of a vehicle. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 1. His vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene.

The Monroe Fire Department, Green County Emergency Medical Services, the Argyle Fire Department and Browntown First Response assisted at the scene.
