Couple takes big leap at Lambeau

MONROE - Ever wonder what it would be like to get married at Lambeau Field? Rebecca Gritzmaker and Nicholas Guerra, Madison, will have that experience when they tie the knot in Green Bay on Saturday, April 16.

The couple met at AMC Movie Theatre, where they worked in October 2008.

After taking her out for lunch in downtown Madison in September of 2010, Guerra proposed to Gritzmaker on the observation deck of the Capitol.

After talking to a few co-workers and managers, Guerra thought Lambeau would be an interesting place for the ceremony.

And Gritzmaker, 23, agreed.

"I wanted something outside the normal venues," Gritzmaker said.

Family and friends were supportive of their unusual choice of venue.

"Everyone thought it was pretty cool," Guerra, 26, said.

Gritzmaker's parents live in Brodhead and Machesney Park. Guerra's parents live in Madison.

Colors for the wedding are pale yellow for the dresses and silver for the men's vest.

"I wanted pale yellow before we picked Lambeau," Gritzmaker said. "It just worked out."

The ceremony will have 120 guests attending. The room they choice sits behind the 400 row seats off of the end zone. On the other side is a view of Green Bay.

The reception is in the same room as the ceremony.

Gritzmaker works in customer service at WPS in Madison and Guerra works as a manager at AMC Movie Theatre.

And, if you are wondering, the couple, and their families, are big Packer fans.
