MONROE - The Monroe Common Council will continue its discussion Tuesday about the vacant city administrator position. That talk has led the council to set an earlier start time to its regular meeting.
The council meeting will begin at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. The meeting's posted agenda includes the possibility of combining the administrator and city attorney functions, along with gaining input and an interest level in the job from current City Attorney Rex Ewald. The council also will discuss the position's job duties, financing, salary range, or creation of a different similar position.
The Common Council met July 29 to begin the discussion, and asked City Clerk Carol Stamm to gather job descriptions for administrator/city attorney positions from other municipalities, which will be reviewed by the council before it moves forward with its own job description for the administrator position.
