MONROE - Monroe Cost Cutters Hair Salon was honored for the highest donation to support breast cancer research.
Customers and stylists at Cost Cutters, located inside Walmart, raised the most money during October Breast Cancer Awareness Month among the 50 Cost Cutters participating in the fundraiser.
Bill Kaminski, the owner of 50 Cost Cutters Hair Salons in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, presented the award and announced that a total of $3,424 was raised for breast cancer research among the participating salons. During October, a portion of proceeds from haircut and pink-labeled product sales was donated to support the South Central Wisconsin affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
