MONROE — On Aug. 27:
• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at 10:32 a.m. in the N3400 Block of Wis. 59 in Sylvester township. Craig D. Prien, 30, Juda, was traveling east and was slowing down in attempt to turn into afield drive when he was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by Dominic T. Vine, 19, Albany. Both drivers reported wearing seat belts and were not injured in the crash. There was no air bag deployment in either vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene. Vine was cited for inattentive driving and was released pending court.
• Injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at 4:04 p.m. in the N3100 block of Wis. 81 in Monroe. Lucas A. Neuenschwander, 21, Monroe, was northbound on Wis. 81 when he observed a car driven by Jerome W. Schwaiger, 90, Monroe, start to pull out from the Pleasant View Complex driveway. Neuenschwander was not able to stop in time to avoid a collision and the vehicles collided. Bother drivers were wearing seat belts. Neuenschwander was injured in the crash but declined to be transported by EMS. The air bags deployed in Neuenschwander’s vehicle. Schwaiger was wearing his seat belt and was not injured in the crash. The air bags did not deploy in Schwaiger’s vehicle. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene. Schwaiger was cited for failure to yield right of way while making a left turn and was released pending court.
On Aug. 28:
• Injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash at 8:23 p.m. on the N9200 block of Argue Road in New Glarus. Douglas R. Thiessen, 69, Madison, was traveling Northbound on Argue Road when he reported that he attempted to stop his vehicle due to seeing two deer in the roadway. Thiessen lost control of the vehicle and entered the west ditch where the vehicle struck a tree. Thiessen reported that he was wearing his seat belt. The vehicle sustained damage and the air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

MONROE — No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 4:42 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 at 10th Street and 14th Avenue. A vehicle driven by Melinda A. Jacobson, 48, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Monroe woman. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Jacobson was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Aug. 30:
• Dennis S. Wells, 63, Gratiot, reported striking a deer at 11:21 a.m. on Riverside Road, Town of Wiota. No injuries were reported. Wells’ 2008 Ford sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
• No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 9:28 p.m. in the Town of Shullsburg. Jon D. Eastlick, 54, Freeport, was traveling on County O when he lost control of his 2005 Toyota. The vehicle veered into the ditch and came to rest on its side. It sustained moderate damage and was towed. Eastlick was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control. The Shullsburg Fire Department and Shullsburg EMS assisted on scene.
