MONROE — On Sept. 15 

● Non-life threatening injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 7:29 a.m. in the W7700 block of Wis. 81, Town of Jordan. Amelia R. Suthers, 18, Monroe, entered the road from a driveway and hit a westbound vehicle operated by Mary S. Johnson, 48, Monroe. Suthers, and a juvenile passenger, were transported by EMS to Monroe Clinic Emergency Room. Her vehicle sustained severe damage with airbag deployment. It was left on scene. Johnson was transported by EMS to Monroe Clinic Emergency Room. Her vehicle sustained severe damage. It was towed. Suthers was cited for failure to yield emerging from non-highway access. Johnson was cited for no vehicle insurance. Green County EMS and Browntown Fire Department assisted. 

● Non-life threatening injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 6:27 p.m. in the W900 block of Amidon Road, Town of Brooklyn. Tonie J. Merrill, 49, Belleville, was westbound when she entered the eastbound lane and hit an eastbound vehicle operated by Kendall P. Flood, 57, Brooklyn. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. Both were towed. Merrill was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control. Brooklyn EMS and Brooklyn Fire Department assisted. 

On Sept. 17: 

● Megan C. Johnson, 18, New Glarus, was evaluated by Green County EMS for injuries sustained from a two-vehicle crash at 1:58 p.m. on Wis. 81 and County N, Town of Monroe. Thomas L. Mowery, 62, Freeport, was westbound on Wis. 81 and turning south on County N when a westbound vehicle operated by Johnson hit the rear of his vehicle. Mowery’s vehicle sustained minor damage. Johnson’s vehicle sustained moderate damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Mowery was cited for improper left turn. 

● Injuries were reported from a three-vehicle crash at 3:35 p.m. in the N9600 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. Jeffrey A. Kempfer, 56, Monticello, was stopped facing north waiting to turn west onto Peerless Road. A vehicle operated by Santos Gonzales, 57, Monticello, was stopped behind him. A northbound vehicle operated by Thomas C. Tullis, 69, Monroe, was distracted and hit the rear of Gonzales’ vehicle which then proceeded to hit Kempfer’s vehicle. Kempfer was transported by ambulance for evaluation of injuries sustained. His vehicle sustained moderate damage. Gonzales and his two passengers, Alicia Santiago Francisco, 41, Monticello, and Sandra Moralez, 15, Monroe, were transported by ambulance for injuries sustained. His vehicle sustained severe damage. It was towed. Tullis and his passenger, Shirley A. Tullis, 63, Monroe, were transported by ambulance for injuries sustained. He was not wearing his seatbelt. His vehicle was towed. Tullis was cited for inattentive driving and failure to fasten seatbelt. 

On Sept. 18: 

● Ellyott W. Baertschi, 25, Juda, was transported by Green County EMS for injuries sustained from a single-vehicle crash at 3:04 a.m. in the W3200 block of High School Road, Town of Sylvester. He was eastbound when he entered the south shoulder. He re-entered the roadway, overcorrected and entered the south shoulder again. He hit a tree and overturned onto the driver’s side. The vehicle sustained severe damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Baertschi was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence. He was released. Juda Fire Department assisted. 

● Injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 1:47 p.m. in the W4300 block of County W, Town of Exeter. Megan R. Scovill, 34, Belleville, was westbound when she failed to negotiate a curve, overcorrected and crossed the center line causing her vehicle to overturn. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Belleville EMS, New Glarus Fire Department, Belleville Fire Department and New Glarus Police Department assisted. 


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Sept. 13: 

● Olivia M. Cook, 19, Kansas City, Missouri, and her passengers were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained from a one-vehicle rollover at 2:57 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Benton. She was westbound when she lost control of her vehicle and exited the roadway, hit a tree and rolled several times. Her 2010 Acura sustained severe damage. It was towed. She was cited for failure to maintain control. Benton First Response, Hazel Green EMS, Shullsburg EMS and Benton Fire Department assisted. 

● Brian F. Sherrer, 36, Shullsburg, was transported by Belmont EMS for non-life threatening injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident at 6:52 p.m. on Sunnydale Road, Town of Belmont. He was southbound when he attempted to pass two southbound Amish buggies and lost control causing him to exit the roadway and enter the ditch. Belmont Fire and Belmont Police Department assisted. 

● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 6:55 a.m. Sept. 14 on County F, Town of Fayette. Javier Morales-Lopez, 25, Darlington, was traveling on County F when he lost control of his vehicle causing it to exit the roadway, enter the ditch and hit a power pole. His 2002 Ford sustained severe damage. It was towed. Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperation assisted. This remains under investigation.
