MONROE — On Sept. 19:

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 10:35 a.m. Jo Ann V. Wilde, 87, Monroe, was eastbound on 6th Street when she turned north onto Wis. 69 and into the path of a westbound vehicle on 6th Street. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed. Green County EMS responded for precautionary measures. Wilde was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.

●  A hit-and-run was reported at 10:03 p.m. in the 2200 block of 6th Avenue. Witnesses indicated a vehicle hit an unoccupied vehicle and the driver drove off. Officers located the offending vehicle, resulted in the arrest of Clayton J. Luther, 24, Cottage Grove, on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. He was also cited for hit-and-run to an unattended vehicle and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration. He was booked and released to a responsible party pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Deputies, New Glarus EMS and the New Glarus Fire Department responded for a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 5:36 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Town of York. Beau D. Cummins, 42, Freeport, was northbound on County J, stopped at Wis. 39 and continued north. Russell E. Bethke, 64, New Glarus, was eastbound on Wis. 39 and collided with Cummins’ vehicle in the intersection. Bethke’s passenger, Nancy J. Daniels, 73, New Glarus, was transported to a nearby hospital. Bethke’s vehicle sustained severe damage and was removed. Cummins and his two passengers reported no injuries. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was removed. He was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign.

●  A rollover crash with injuries was reported at 2 a.m. Sept. 19 in the W5500 block of County DR, Town of Monroe. Patrick H. Tribbey, 50, Argyle, was westbound when his vehicle entered the north ditch and then rolled. He was transported to a hospital by Green County EMS. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. Patrick was arrested and cited for operating while impaired and failure to control a vehicle. He was jailed pending the passage of 12 hours, a breathalyzer result of under .04% blood-alcohol concentration or the appearance of a responsible party to take him. Monroe police and the Monroe Fire Department assisted deputies on scene.

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 3:32 p.m. Sept. 20 on County S at Mohns Road, Town of Sylvester. Roger M. Markham, 79, Juda, was northbound and tried to pass a northbound farm tractor driven by Dennis W. Hasse, 76, Beloit, that was pulling a hay rake. The tractor was turning left into a field access drive. Markham’s vehicle collided with the hay rake and then both came to rest. Marham’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. The hay rake sustained damage.

●  No injuries were reported from a vehicle hitting a bridge at 4:54 p.m. Sept. 22 in the N9500 block of Legler Road, Town of Brooklyn. Cathlene C. Burgweger, 73, Brooklyn, was southbound and began to veer off the road as she approached the narrow bridge, swerved to get back onto the road and hit the bridge. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Sept. 17:

●  Adam J. Krebs, 35, Monroe, reported hitting a dog at 9:08 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. No injuries were reported. The dog ran off. Krebs’ 2010 Toyota sustained minor damage.

●  Taryn J. Rankin, 22, Darlington, reported hitting a raccoon at 9:24 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. No injuries were reported. Rankin’s 2015 Hyundai sustained moderate damage and was towed.

On Sept. 19:

●  Scott D. Brugger, 50, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 8:40 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. His 2009 GMC sustained minor damage.

●  Gary L. Jenson, 65, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer at 9:16 a.m. on Spring Brook Road, Town of Wiota. His 2016 Ford sustained minor damage.

On Sept. 20:

●  Renee M. Brunkow, 55, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 7:40 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. Her 2020 Jeep sustained minor damage.
